Lavender oil also seems to reduce pain and prompts the body to heal efficiently and effectively while allowing for much-needed rest and sleep.

Tea Tree

Tea Tree essential oil is known as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory remedy to bring healing and fight bacteria. Just a little bit of this oil goes a very long way and it can be used in a variety of ways to fight or prevent skin infections such as gum disease, acne, burns, scrapes and cuts.

Rosemary

This oil helps to sooth tired muscles and reduced inflammation and swelling of joints. In addition, Rosemary is useful for healthy digestion and aids in fighting fatigue.

Once you have reduced the initial inflammation you will want to begin to use that particular joint very slowly at first. You will need to strengthen the muscle and tendons slowly to help prevent future recurrences. Warming up the joint with a massage oil, lotion or cream using a variety of essential oils that not only warm the joint capsule, but also helps to reduce inflammation and discomfort will help to speed the healing process.
